A guide to traditional archery

I think traditional archery has the same sentiment as what I have heard about musicians "Any musician worth their salt, wants to play jazz". The most Traditional bow is a Longbow. It is often referred to as a "stick bow" due to the fact that when unstrung it is a straight piece of wood. Go to our
longbow
page for more on this historic bow. To all but the most ardent purists the recurve bow is also a traditional bow. The limbs on a recurve have a curve in them to add more potential energy for longer range and higher speed when compared to a longbow. Go to the
recurve archery
page for more. The bows are not the only thing that are considered traditional. The arrows, broadheads, quivers and much more add to the romance. Check out more on our
traditional archery supplies
page. If you find this page interesting, I'll bet you would like to find out more about
archery history
for some cool facts.
